TH106 - Virtual Classroom Facilitation: A License to Thrill!

Thu, Jan 25 | 10:15 AM - 11:15 AM | 210BF

Session Description:
So, you have a license for Adobe Connect or WebEx Training Center or another web conferencing technology --- but do you have the competencies to make that a license to thrill? Many organizations see the virtual classroom as the answer to training challenges --- such as reaching dispersed audiences, reducing training costs, and providing more agile learning --- but their virtual training programs are more ho-hum than a blockbuster experience. In this session, the speaker will introduce you to a virtual facilitator competency model that will allow you to identify any knowledge and skills gaps in three competency areas: platform fluency, virtual presence, and event choreography. You'll also gain practical tips and techniques that you can start building into your own best practices the very next session you facilitate.

Application on the Job:
Explore the virtual facilitator competency model.
Identify how you compare against the model and if any gaps in knowledge and skills exist.
Deploy tips and techniques learned in your next virtual session.
