TH406 - Reaching Remote Learners: What Mobile Makes Possible

Thu, Jan 25 | 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM | 210CG

Session Description:
Last year, one international human relief and development consortium discovered that nonfinancial managers who work in remote or developing areas of the global south were often being asked to prepare budgets, manage accounts, interpret financial data, and handle other related tasks --- all without training or support. That led them to develop a certification program and toolkit of educational resources focused on basic financial management. While face-to-face training and certification test preparation are important pieces of the program, mobile-first training is essential for reaching nonfinancial managers. In this session, you'll walk through how this organization built multidevice training for a global workforce.

Application on the Job:
Gain insight into how to build and implement a mobile component for training programs.
Learn why ease of use is the key criteria for mobile learning authoring tools for global teams.
Get a live demonstration of existing mobile courses to inspire your own work.
