TH503 - xAPI in Practice: Using xAPI to Track Mobile Performance Support

Thu, Jan 25 | 4:45 PM - 5:45 PM | 210AE

Session Description:
There are many questions and much fuzziness about Experience API (xAPI). We can attribute most of these unknowns to the fact that xAPI is new, and many of us haven't seen it in action. In this session, the speaker will shed some light on xAPI by presenting a practical example of its use: tracking performance in a mobile app. You'll discuss identifying performance tracking requirements, planning for implementation, using the ADL xAPI vocabulary to create statements, and the transition from planning to coding. In addition, we will look at considerations for evaluating and selecting learning record stores to house xAPI data.

Application on the Job:
Identify performance tracking requirements.
Develop a plan for xAPI implementation.
Use the ADL vocabulary to identify verbs, actors, and objects.
